Tuesday 3rd July 2007Tracey had the day off so we decided on a Trip to Echuca which is about a 1hr 30min drive from Tatura. We got there just before lunch and headed towards the old docks on the bank of the Murry River. There were paddle steamers of all shapes and sizes moored on the Victorian side of the river. It really is a very interesting place with so much history.
The street that runs alongs side of the old docks has been set up too look like it did when Echuca was the busiest inland port in Austalia. There are many beautiful old buildings that have been lovingly restored and you can even take a ride in an old horse drawn Cobb & Co coach.
